What is your style?

I'm a natural light photographer through and through.

No big lights, flashes or elaborate backdrops.

My editing style favours slightly dramatic and moody

over the usual bright and airy that most photographers go for.

I like to think of myself as an alternative to the usual 'newborn photography' out there.

Do I have to smile at the camera?

​

The short answer is yes,

but only about 5% of my photos involve everyone smiling for the camera - and this is more of a tick-box thing because we all know grandma likes a good mantlepiece family photo.

The vast majority of my work involves interaction, cuddles, tickles, and laughter.

How do I book?

 

Booking is complete as soon as a contract is signed and payment is received. Once booked we will schedule a date in the diary. If you're booking based on an impending birth and the baby arrives early/late we can easily rearrange where notice is provided.

Booking before the birth means that I won't fully book the time period in case there is a need to rearrange and I'd definitely recommend this.

Waiting until after the birth often means I don't have availability at short notice.

Where can we do the photo shoot?

You choose where you would like your photos taken.

We usually do newborn sessions in the comfort of your own home (distances within 20 miles of Cardiff or Cowbridge - further travel is charged per mile).

How many images will I get?
 

Your session will include all edited images (but is often substantially more than the minimum!). I set a minimum in case

Will the images taken be shared on your social media/website?

That is completely up to you.

Of course we would absolutely love to share your images -

as, after all, if you hadn't seen images we'd shared you wouldn't be reading this,

but we understand that some people prefer to keep theirs private.

Where permission is granted for images to be shared online and used in marketing,

you'll get an early sneak peek on social media

and some complimentary store credit as a thank you.

How long will it take to see the edited images?
 

Up to 40 days, however that is worst case scenario and I do my best to try and fast track newborn photos as I'm aware you'll want to share these images asap.

Can I purchase prints or wall art?

We can provide beautiful prints, canvases, photobooks and thank you cards as optional extras, via some of the top professional product providers in the UK. Should you decide to get prints/products elsewhere we are unable to guarantee the quality of the finished image - as some suppliers alter the colours/quality of a photograph.
